The short version: Wooby keeps your data on your phone. We have no servers and no accounts, we don't collect or transmit your information, and we use no analytics, advertising, or tracking. The only time anything leaves the app is if you choose to save your weight to Apple Health.
1. Who we are
Wooby ("we", "us", "our") is a cozy habit-and-weight companion app for iPhone. If you have any questions, email ankitsanghi@gmail.com.
2. What Wooby stores on your device
So the app works and remembers your progress, Wooby stores the following locally on your device:
Weight entries (date, value, and any note you add)
Habits you track and their completion history
Your pet, its name and mood, your bond, and the room and decor you build
Your optional display name and goal
App settings (units, sound and haptics, theme, app icon)
All of this stays on your device using standard iOS storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
3. We don't collect your data
Wooby has no servers, no user accounts, and makes no network requests to send your personal information anywhere. Specifically:
We do not collect or transmit your weight, habits, or any personal data.
We use no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking tools.
We do not sell or share your data — we never receive it in the first place.
4. Apple Health (optional)
If you choose to, Wooby can save your weight to Apple Health (as Body Mass). This is entirely optional and only happens with your permission:
Write-only. Wooby only writes your weight to Apple Health. It never reads any data from Apple Health.
You can turn this off at any time in Settings, and manage permissions in the iOS Health app.
Data in Apple Health is governed by Apple's own privacy protections and stays on your device and your iCloud — not with us.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
Because your data lives on your device, you're in control:
Delete everything in the app via Settings → Clear All Data.
Deleting Wooby from your device removes all of its data.
Weight you saved to Apple Health is managed in the Apple Health app.
6. Children's privacy
Wooby is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — in fact, it collects no personal information at all.
7. Not medical advice
Wooby is for general wellbeing and motivation. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Please talk to a qualified healthcare professional for any health decisions.
8. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top and post the new version on this page.
